blargKABOOM notes on a well spotted feature that appears to be in the new iPhone 2.0 firmware which will be released in June.
The inconspicuous search button appeared in Apple’s presentation that it held to announce the iPhone Software Roadmap.
The icon resembles that of the Spotlight search icon used in Mac OS X.
Apple has made no mention of the feature and some users who have their hands on the iPhone development kit note that the feature is not in the 2.0 beta firmware.
